Season 2 of the Apple TV+ thriller Hijack has cast MCU’s Toby Jones, FBI: International‘s Christiane Paul and Dark‘s Lisa Vicari. Hijack starred Idris Elba (who also exec-produced) as Sam Nelson, a corporate negotiator whose skills of persuasion were put to the test when an airplane he was traveling on was overtaken by armed hijackers. Season 1 unfolded in real-time across seven one-hour episodes and debuted on Apple TV+ in June 2023, with the season finale landing on Aug. 2.


Silo Season 2 at AppleTV+

Based on Hugh Howey’s bestselling Wool, Shift and Dust trilogy, Silo centers on the last 10,000 people on Earth. They all live in a mile-deep silo, which is supposedly protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. Rebecca Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer-turned-sheriff who begins to unravel the mystery behind the underground civilization. No release date announced as yet.


Fraser Reboot Casting News

Paramount+ has announced that original series stars Dan Butler and Edward Hibbert (who played Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe and Gil Chesterton, respectively) will reprise their roles in Season 2 of the sitcom revival. Butler, who appeared in all but one season of the original series’ 11-season run, was a series regular in Seasons 4-6. Bulldog, who had a unrequited crush on Roz, hosted KACL’s top-rated Gonzo Sports Show.

Hibbert, meanwhile, also appeared in all but one of Frasier’s 11 seasons, appearing in 29 episodes as Restaurant Beat host Gil.


Star Trek: Starfleet Academy has added Paul Giamatti to the Season 1 live-action series as a recurring guest star. He’ll play Season 1’s as-yet-unnamed villain, a man with an ominous past connected to one of our cadets. He joins previously announced cast member Holly Hunter, who will star as the captain and chancellor of the Starfleet Academy.


The Boys Season 5 will be its final Season. Series creator Erik Kripke stated he was thrilled to bring the story to a gory, epic, moist climax. Season 4 of The Boys (premiering with three episodes, followed by one installment weekly) finds the world on the brink, while Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as their leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.


Anne Rice’s The Talamasca at AMC

This latest offshoot will feature the men and women responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires, werewolves and other creatures scattered around the globe. Ordered for a six-episode first season, the series is expected to premiere on AMC and AMC+ sometime in 2025. Members of The Talamasca’s organization have already been introduced in AMC Networks’ other two series based on the books of Anne Rice; Interview With the Vampire, which is currently airing its second season, and Mayfair Witches, which is now wrapping production on Season 2 in Ireland.

One of the most prominent characters with ties to the Talamasca has been Ciprien Grieve (played by Tongayi Chirisa), an agent specifically assigned to monitor Rowan Fielding (Alexandra Daddario) on Mayfair Witches. Fans of Interview With the Vampire were also introduced to Raglan James (Justin Kirk) earlier this season.


Euphoria Season 3

The Sam Levinson drama which last aired in February 2022 is targeting a 2025 premiere date. Season 3 is poised to feature a sizable time jump, at which point Rue & Co. will have graduated from East Highland. At the end of Season 2, Rue was once again clean from drugs and looking to rekindle her friendship with Lexi; Ashtray was killed during an encounter with the police at Fezco’s home; Nate turned in his dad Cal; and Cassie and Maddy continued to deal with the remains of their friendship.
