Elsbeth Renewed for Season 2 at CBS
We loved this week’s episode ! Blair Underwood was adorable, and the show is getting better each week. Carrie Preston, Wendell Pierce and Carra Patterson bring these wonderful characters to life in the company of a world-class roster of weekly guest stars. The second Good Wife offshoot (following Paramount+’s The Good Fight), Elsbeth finds Preston reprising her role of Elsbeth Tascioni, an astute but unconventional attorney using her singular point of view to make unique observations and corner criminals alongside the NYPD. Pierce co-stars as NYPD Captain C.W. Wagner, while Patterson plays Kaya Blanke, a police officer who develops an appreciation for Elsbeth’s ways.
Power Book II: Ghost
Soe leaked photos online show lawyer Davis MacLean (Method Man) is about to go out with a bang this upcoming Season, when the first half of Season 4 gets underway on Friday, June 7 (8/7c) we can report that MacLean will be a little more on edge than normal.
Tariq ignored his mother’s and Tommy’s advice and essentially started a war at the end of Season 3. He approached Noma (Caroline Chikezie) about a business partnership but soon learned the hard way that she’d already teamed up with Effie and the Tejada kids.
In Season 4, new alliances have been formed with each faction, Tariq and Brayden must find a way back into the game. But Brayden starts flirting with a new, reckless lifestyle, leaving Tariq to wonder if there really is room for two at the top.”
In addition, Golden Brooks (Girlfriends, The Good Doctor) will join the Season 4 cast in the recurring role of Janet Stewart, Monet’s cousin.
The Chi – Back Half of Season 6
Kadeem Hardison (A Different World), Leon (Swarm), Brett Gray (On My Block) and Daniel J. Watts (The Last O.G.) will guest-star.
Previously on The Chi, Alicia (played by Greenleaf‘s Lynn Whitfield) is Rob’s mother and Q’s sister, and she’s highly interested in getting revenge on the person who murdered her brother. Given that Rob and Emmett’s attempt to kill the former mayor went very, very badly, it looks like it’s time for Alicia to take action herself.
The second half of the drama’s sixth season will kick off Friday, May 10, on Paramount+ With Showtime and on demand, before making its on-air debut Sunday, May 12 at 9/8c on Showtime.
The Witcher Renewed for Fifth and Final Season at Netflix
Liam Hemsworth will take over the role of Geralt of Rivia when the show returns for Season 4, which does not yet have a premiere timetable. The new season follows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri who are faced with traversing the war-ravaged Continent and its many demons apart from each other.
Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), Freya Allan (Ciri) and Joey Batey (Jaskier) are all confirmed to return for Season 4, while new cast members include Laurence Fishburne (black-ish), Danny Woodburn (Seinfeld), Sharlto Copley (Powers) and James Purefoy (The Following).
We Are Lady Parts Season 2 at Peacock
Season 2 of the comedy about an all-female Muslim punk rock band will debut Thursday, May 30 with all six episodes and the new season sees the band return with a renewed artistic mission after the high of their first UK tour, only to find a rival band threatens their delicate status quo. Activist Malala Yousafzai and comedian Meera Syal are set to guest star.
As the reality of chasing success sets in, Lady Parts embark on recording their first album, juggling personal ambitions and deciding whether ‘making it big’ is really what they wanted.
