Signed Sealed Delivered New Movies announced at Hallmark

Production is now underway on not one but two new installments of the Hallmark Mystery (fka Hallmark Movies & Mysteries) film franchise, to again star Eric Mabius as Oliver, Kristin Booth as Shane, Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe as Rita and Geoff Gustafson as Norman.

The first new film, to premiere later in 2024, is Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Tale of Three Letters, in which the aforementioned foursome work on identifying the intended recipients of a trio of dead letters which have a surprising, personal impact on all of them. Meanwhile, coming out of their honeymoon phase, Oliver and Shane grapple with finding their footing as a married couple.

Then, on track for a 2025 release, you’ll receive Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back, in which the POstables all face exciting life changes as their latest investigation takes them on a road trip to not only find the recipient of a lost letter, but to track down a rock star who holds the keys.

Melrose Place

The Fox primetime soap Melrose Place revival is a go. Heather Locklear, Laura Leighton and Daphne Zuniga are all set to reprise their roles. The new series, written by Lauren Gussis (Insatiable), would pick up years after the original Melrose Place, with the former residents reuniting when one of their dearest friends dies suddenly. But the reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets; throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective. No air date as yet.

A Second Heroes Reboot in the Works

The project, Heroes: Eclipsed is set years after the events of the original show’s series finale and centers on new Evos being awakened and discovering their life-altering powers.

Dark Matter – AppleTV+

Joel Edgerton plays Jason Dessen, a physicist, professor and happy husband/dad in Chicago who gets kidnapped one night and wakes up in an alternate version of his life. As the story progresses, he embarks on a harrowing journey to get back to his true family and save them from the most terrifying, unbeatable foe imaginable: himself.” Jennifer Connelly plays Daniela, Jason’s wife.

The series will kick off with two episodes released on Wednesday, May 8; one episode will roll out each week after through the finale on June 26.

The cast also includes Alice Braga (Queen of the South), Jimmi Simpson (Westworld), Dayo Okeniyi (Shades of Blue) and Oakes Fegley (Person of Interest). Crouch is series creator, executive producer, showrunner and writer; other EPs include Matt Tolmach (Spider-Man: No Way Home), David Manpearl (Stay Alive) and Edgerton.

TV veteran Malcolm-Jamal Warner is scrubbing in for a guest-starring role on 9-1-1.

The actor will appear in four upcoming episodes of the Ryan Murphy procedural as Amir, a hospital burn unit nurse with ties to Bobby’s (Peter Krause) past.
