Previously on Bob Hearts Abishola, Dele’s Juilliard dreams dashed before a new path emerged for Abishola’s son. While in New York for the aspiring dancer’s audition, Abishola reconnected with her brother, working-class musician Ade (played by Bel-Air’s Jimmy Akingbola), and ascertained that Dele didn’t need a Juilliard education to make it in the arts; he just needed a degree from SUNY Purchase.

On the heels of Dele’s impressive audition, Abishola drifted off to sleep and dreamt of a future where her son was a big success on Broadway, complete with a song-and-dance number in her honor!

Airing Monday, April 29 (CBS, 8:30/7:30c), the penultimate installment sees Bob and Abishola plan a trip to Las Vegas for Kemi’s wedding to Chukwuemeka. Meanwhile, Kemi and Chukwuemeka get into an argument over his mother.

Bob Hearts Abishola will conclude conclude its five-season run on Monday, May 6 (at 8:30 pm) with a half-hour episode titled “Find Your Bench.” It will pick up seven years later; and a lot has changed for Bob and Abishola, as they reflect on how far they’ve come, and consider what’s most important to them, as they head into the future.
