YOU’s Final Season

Madeline Brewer, (The Handmaid’s Tale and Orange Is the New Black), is joining Netflix’s dark thriller as Bronte.

Brewer’s Bronte is an enigmatic and free-spirited playwright who lands a job working for Joe (Penn Badgley) at his bookstore. The two connect over literature and loss, with Bronte inspiring a feeling of nostalgia for his former self, causing him to question everything his life has become.

YOU’s fourth season relocated Joe to London, where he started over as a college professor named Jonathan Moore after faking his own death. Now he’s back in New York City, where it all began. The series is expected to return sometime in 2024.


Mayfair Witches Updates

Ben Feldman (Superstore) has been cast as Sam Larkin the CEO of a major genetics startup and Rowan’s ex-love interest for Season 2 of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches on AMC. Returning series regulars include Alexandra Daddario as Rowan Fielding, Jack Huston as Lasher, Tongayi Chirisa as Ciprien Grieve and Harry Hamlin as Cortland Mayfair. Alyssa Jirrels (Fatal Attraction) joins them in Season 2 as Moira Mayfair. Ted Levine (Big Sky) will recur as Corltland’s father Julien Mayfair.


Superman & Lois’ Final Season Update

Yvonne Chapman (Avatar: The Last Airbender) will take on the role of Lex Luthor’s intelligent, cunning, and loyal ally Amanda McCoy, whose business-savvy and cutthroat nature have brought the company to new heights amid Lex’s absence.

The show’s third season concluded with Superman (played Tyler Hoechlin) facing off against iconic DC villain Doomsday, who is now seemingly immortal after getting an assist from Lex Luthor (Michael Cudlitz).

Both Hoechlin and Cudlitz are returning as series regulars in Season 4, along with Bitsie Tulloch as Lois, Alex Garfin as Jordan and Michael Bishop as Jonathan.


Scott Wolf (Nancy Drew, Party of Five) will recur in Fox’s upcoming medical drama Doc (starring Molly Parker) as an attending physician.

Sofia Carson (Purple Hearts, the Descendants films) will star in the Netflix rom-com movie The Life List, about a young woman who’s sent on a quest by her mother to complete her childhood bucket list. The cast also includes Connie Britton (The White Lotus), Kyle Allen (The Path) and Sebastian De Souza (The Great).

Queen Latifah will return as host of the 55th NAACP Image Awards, airing Saturday, March 16 at 8/7c on BET and CBS.

Showtime has released a trailer for the limited series A Gentleman in Moscow, starring Ewan McGregor and premiering Friday, March 29 on Paramount+ With Showtime and on demand, before making its linear debut on Sunday, March 31 at 9 pm on Showtime.


Sugar Apple TV+ Update

Colin Farrell plays a tough-as-nails private eye who is hired to find the granddaughter of a famous Hollywood producer. John drives through the streets of sunny L.A. in a vintage Corvette convertible with a dog at his side. As he’s haunted by demons as well, he stumbles upon something bigger than just a simple kidnapping, when Kirby (The Good PlaceKilling Eve) asks him to stop looking for the girl. The cast includes Amy Ryan (The Office), James Cromwell (Succession), Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad),and Dennis Boutsikaris (Better Call Saul).

Sugar premieres Friday, April 5 on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes, with episodes releasing weekly after that.


True Detective’ Will Remain an Anthology in Season 5

True Detective: Night Country” ended its run as the most watched installment of the HBO anthology series yet. Having loved Jodie Foster starring last Season as Chief Liz Danvers, it sounds like creator Issa Lopez will be sticking with the anthology route for “True Detective” Season 5. Foster told Variety’s Marc Malkin that her time on the show was “one and done” and “it’s an anthology.” Asked if she’s coming back, Foster said point blank: “No.”


Suits: LA’ Pilot at NBC Casts Troy Winbush

Winbush (The Wilds) has been cast as Kevin, joining previously announced cast members Stephen Amell, Josh McDermitt and Lex Scott Davis.

Suits: LA is centred on Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.
