Netflix has canceled the comedy series “Freeridge” after just one season.

HBO Max is thrilled to announce it has ordered an original “Harry Potter” scripted television series. The series will be a faithful adaptation of the beloved “Harry Potter” book series by author and executive producer, J.K. Rowling.

The stories from each of Rowling’s Harry Potter books will become a decade-long series produced with the same epic craft, love and care this global franchise is known for. The series will feature a new cast to lead a new generation of fandom, full of the fantastic detail, much loved characters and dramatic locations that Harry Potter fans have loved for over twenty-five years. Each season will be authentic to the original books and bring Harry Potter and these incredible adventures to new audiences around the world, while the original, classic and beloved films will remain at the core of the franchise and available to watch globally.

HBO has given a series order to drama series A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS: THE HEDGE KNIGHT. The “Game of Thrones” prequel series will be written and executive produced by George R.R. Martin and Ira Parker. Ryan Condal and Vince Gerardis will also executive produce.

A century before the events of “Game of Thrones,” two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.

Warner Bros. Television Max and executive producer Chuck Lorre are developing a new comedy series derived from “The Big Bang Theory.” This would mark the second series derived from the world of “The Big Bang Theory,” following the prequel “Young Sheldon,” which begins with Iain Armitage starring as “The Big Bang Theory” character Sheldon Cooper as a nine-year-old, living with his family in East Texas and going to high school. “Young Sheldon” is in its sixth season on CBS and ranks as the #1 comedy on TV among Total Viewers.

Teddy Sears (American Horror Stories) and Tamberla Perry (All-American: Homecoming) have landed roles in the NBC medical drama pilot Wolf starring Zachary Quinto.

NBC has renewed all six of its Dick Wolf-produced scripted series – “Chicago Med,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.,” “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: SVU” and “Law & Order: Organized Crime” – for the 2023-2024 season.
All of the shows, which are produced by Universal Television in association with Wolf Entertainment, stream next day on Peacock.
