Poor Laurel Castillo.
Her one time beau, Frank, went M.I.A. for weeks – and when she tried to get information on his whereabouts, she was forced to sign her life away to her father. She barely survived a house fire that killed her next boyfriend, Wes, and she’s unexpectedly pregnant with his child.
Her own father was responsible for Wes’ death.
When Season 4 opens, She’s still going through grief while being pregnant, and she has a big decision to make.
Meanwhile, the romance quotient hits an all time high with Michaela and Asher confessing they love each other, and Oliver proposing Connor move back in with him.
For Michaela to hear Asher say that he sees her as family meant so much because for her, family is this whole other thing. She’s hinted before – the people she grew up around, the word “family” isn’t a right way to describe them. It’s not how she feels about them. For Asher to say that to her, and what that could potentially be for the two of them to truly be family together, is huge.
However, with Oliver keeping secret from Connor that he kept a copy of Annalise’s phone, and after making the phone call to cancel the Stanford acceptance letter and then hide the fact from Connor, there’s still a hill to climb if these two are ever going to be on the same page.
For Annalise, Season 4 is about coming to terms with losing Wes, whom she’d treated as though he was her own son, even though he killed her husband Sam. Wes had come to accept that she’s one of the most important people in his life. As much as she’s done some very questionable things as far as his interests are concerned, and as much as she’s kept things from him, they’ve been bound together. And she’s also shown him fantastic mercy.
Season 4 has no return date yet.
